Veronica Virgo: Robotic

I’m Veronica Virgo & am very new to Anti-Pretty! Be gentle… Or don’t.

I’ve been modeling for a little while now, & loving it. I prefer the extremely broad genre of pin-up, but I also don’t want to be pigeon-holed. I’m open to all kinds of different styles & ideas. I don’t always want pretty, formulaic, wall-worthy photos. I’d like some gritty, scary, and weird photos too.

At this time I am unwilling to do any nudity, but will consider implied with the right photographer & concept. & who knows, I may do some booby shots one day, but I’m not there yet. I refuse to do anything that looks like victimization, or juvenilization/infantalization. To each their own, & if that’s your thing, I won’t judge you for it. But don’t fucking ask me to do that shit. Here’s why:

  1. I am nobody’s victim. Period. & victimization is not sexy
  2. I am a woman, not a child. Women are sexy. Children are not. View my womanliness, get turned on. Win win.

I like my music loud, & I hate almost as much music as I love. I like clothes & shoes, but have abnormal body proportions & clothing & shoes drive me insane. I love good food, but I’m vegan so I can’t eat most of what you can. I am a fan-fucking-tastic perplexing conundrum of awesomeness.

this idea came out of a coffee chat with Adam of AntiPretty. We were brainstorming various ideas for a shoot, & I just happened to say, “Fuck, I’m down to be a robot! I’m up for something crazy.” & Adam’s eyes got big, his ears perked, his eyebrows raised, & he said, “A robot?!” I started trailing off, & Adam said, “so back to this robot idea…” & then we went crazy from there.

The dress was pain-stakingly made using 3 or 4 rolls of chrome duct tape & the internal parts of an old-school desk-top calculator. The leg & arm sleeves were made on the spot with aluminum foil & more chrome duct tape.
