Frequently Asked
The stuff people ask before they plug in. Tap a question to open it.
Is it free?
Yes. Making a profile, posting galleries, browsing, matching, and getting found all cost nothing. AntiPretty is built for the weirdos, not the wallet. Join free.
How do I join?
Hit sign up, confirm you’re 18+, pick whether you’re a model, a photographer, or both, and verify your email. Then build out your profile — bio, links, and your best work — and you’re live. Grab your own URL while you’re at it.
What’s a comp card?
Your comp card (composite card) is your one-glance calling card — a tidy snapshot of who you are: a few signature looks, your stats, your vibe, and how to reach you. It’s what a photographer or caster sees first, so make it loud and make it yours.
What’s a consent sheet?
A consent sheet is the receipt for a shoot — who was involved, what was agreed, and what may be posted or used. Consent runs everything on AntiPretty, so we make it easy to attach the paperwork to your work and keep everyone on the same page. Details live in our Community Guidelines.
What’s the open-to-work badge?
A little flag on your profile that says “I’m available — pitch me.” Flip it on when you’re looking for shoots or collabs and you’ll surface in discovery and the matcher. Flip it off when your calendar’s full. You’re always in control.
What’s the matcher?
The matcher pairs models and photographers by style, location, and what you’re into shooting — so you spend less time scrolling and more time creating. Tell it what you’re after and it surfaces people worth a message. Try it from Match.
How do references work?
References are vouches from people you’ve actually worked with. After a shoot or collab, you can request a reference, and they can leave one on your profile. They build trust fast — especially before meeting someone new — and you stay in control of what shows.
Age & safety — who’s allowed here?
Adults only. AntiPretty is strictly 18+, and everyone depicted must have been 18+ when the photo was taken — no exceptions, ever. We take consent, recordkeeping, and member safety seriously; see our Guidelines and § 2257 statement. Always meet new collaborators safely and trust your gut.
How do I report something?
Use the report control on the profile, gallery, or message that’s a problem, or reach a human directly. Anything involving a minor or non-consensual content jumps the line and gets handled immediately. Full details in our Community Guidelines; copyright goes through DMCA.
