Some shoots are about the wardrobe. This one's about the two people in it. Kathryn brought her partner Art to the studio and the result is a couple session with zero stiffness and a lot of teeth — foreheads pressed together, whisper-laughing at something off-camera, him stealing a kiss on her cheek while she mugs wide-eyed at the lens. No gimmicks, no props, just a gray backdrop and two people who clearly like each other more than they like holding still. Studio, 2012. No airbrushing, no apologies, no boring.
