Galleries / Wet Series: Erica
Erica in a long satin gown — elegant, barefoot, and about to get gloriously wet.
Erica showed up in a floor-length satin gown — elegant, regal, completely inappropriate for what we had planned — so naturally we got the hose. The Wet Series exists to ruin nice outfits gorgeously, and Erica's entry is one of the best.
It starts dry and dignified: bare feet on concrete, brown satin catching the light, a woman who looks like she wandered out of a perfume ad. Then the water hits, and the whole thing transforms — fabric clinging and twisting, droplets suspended in the air, that gown auditioning for a shampoo commercial it will never get cast in. Elegance, drenched, and twice as alive for it.
This is peak AntiPretty logic: take something beautiful, do something disrespectful to it, and discover it's even more beautiful soaking wet. Glamour with a sense of humor and a water bill.
We're classy like that.
