Galleries / Sean: Swamp Thang
Sean tears through a flooded field, shirtless and splashing under a bruised sky.
Sean took one look at a flooded North Bay field under a bruised grey sky and ran straight into it, and we just kept the shutter going. Swamp Thang is raw, kinetic, and gloriously unhinged — proof that AntiPretty's "we like them weird" extends to everybody, every body, every gender.
Shirtless in plaid shorts, arms thrown wide, he tears through the drowned grass kicking up sheets of muddy water while bare trees claw at the horizon. There's no posing here, just motion — splash, sprint, the half-second of joy before the cold registers. The whole set feels less like a photoshoot and more like watching someone remember they're alive.
We shoot a lot of glamour. This is the opposite and we love it just as much: overcast, feral, soaked to the bone, beautiful precisely because nobody's trying to look beautiful.
The water was freezing. He didn't care. Neither do we.
